Picture
Front of plate 'Yes Peace Hope Love'
Sidwalk Sam, (also known as Robert Guillemin), visited Muncie, IN for the Peace Center's Paint 4 Peace event in April of 2009 (see www.paint4peace.com).  This auction was created on the notion that peace and nonviolence can be expressed through the arts.  Sidewalk Sam is a world-renowned artist who help paint a 20 by 20 foot peace dove on campus at Ball State last year.  He also visited the Caring Arts Program, Beyond I CAN, and Festival Fridays to share his love of art and peace.
While on his journey though Muncie, he visited "The Artist Within" and painted this dinner plate as a donation to their store.
"The Artist Within" has generously donated his plate to the Art 4 Peace auction in hopes that someone will appreciate its true value, along with the impact Sidewalk Sam had on Muncie.
The plate is approximately 10" and is signed by Sidwalk on the back.
